Krispy Kreme doughnuts
It's Halloween season. No, we usually do not celebrate. I do know it's a rather profitable season, esp. for sweets and other treats. Looking back, the last time I tried one of these seasonal doughnuts was back in 2014. Perhaps I didn't like it, so it took me a while to give it another try.
My daughter and I were rather fascinated with this year's theme designs. I think it's the spellbook charm that attracted our attention. LOL! We actually bought this box of six different doughnuts when we stopped at the neighborhood mall last Sunday. We came from visiting Mom at the columbary in another part of town. Before heading home, we made a stop at the mall for some repair services my daughter needed for some of her items. The Krispy Kreme ad at the mall enticed us to give these treats a try.
What's my verdict? For me, it was worth the try as the doughnuts did look good on photo. Taste wise, however, I still prefer the OG (original glazed) doughnut. In fact, it's the only flavor I can stand from Krispy Kreme. The rest I find to be too sweet for my liking. Honestly, you won't miss anything if you pass up the chance of buying these seasonal treats. There's nothing extraordinary in them, except they look really attractive. That's just me, I guess.
