Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was a bit different from our routine. In the morning, some contractors were at the house to add insulation in the attic. To make it easier, I put Kaia in a crate, she was really not a happy camper!
But when they were done (great work by the way), we quickly went to the yard to enjoy the good weather.
Kaia could finally burn some energy! But not too much as she's still supposed to rest while recovering. That is not an easy concept for her!
You probably guessed it, we then went again to the small forest behind the front yard.
Just in time for the late golden hour light.
Some more people were planned to visit later to inspect the attic work and finalize the project. So we didn't have enough time to go to the other forest, but we could go deeper in this one. The sun was still visible through the trees.
As I probably already said, these are some of my favorite photos, the late sunset in between the forest views.
Back home, I decided to climb on the roof because the colors behind the trees looked impressive. Indeed they were!
These people from the insulation company weren't there yet, so we went in the neighborhood for more sunset photos.
Even the Moon made an apparition.
When they finally arrived, they checked everything, and confirmed what I already saw: very good work. Then they convinced me to also change the roof. Maybe I'm an easy mark, but their arguments, along with the discount they offered compared to the original estimate, seemed too good to pass on. It will probably be done this coming week, before the winter really starts. They finally left around 8pm, on a Friday night! After that, we went for a final walk with Kaia. Nothing much to report except for this big buck relaxing in a front yard.
And also Le Chat almost giving us a scare. Well, probably not to Kaia who surely caught her scent before, but she really startled me when she came out of the darkness and ran at us. It was even more surprising that we were at least half a mile from home. She then just walked the rest of the way with us.
And that was pretty much the end of this busy day.
